Medical Billing Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based in Turnersville, New Jersey, and involves managing billing operations and accounts receivable processes with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and claims administration, along with familiarity with various healthcare technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage medical claims
• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.
• Review and submit appeals to insurance carriers for denied claims.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing functions across multiple healthcare platforms.
• Administer benefit functions related to patient accounts and insurance policies.
• Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to maintain and update patient information.
• Conduct dynamic data exchanges (DDE) to ensure seamless integration of billing data.
• Collaborate with team members to improve claim administration processes.
• Monitor and analyze billing reports to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide support for audits and compliance reviews as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and accounts receivable.
• Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and their functionalities.
• Experience with appeals and claims administration processes.
• Familiarity with dynamic data exchange (DDE) and billing integrations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with insurance carriers and healthcare.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
