Job Description

Roles & Responsibilties

  • Perform annual filing (20-F) and other SEC filings, e.g., F-3, S-8;
  • Perform quarterly closing review, earnings release and bod meeting preparation;
  • Oversee state and federal tax filing, transfer pricing (between the US and Asia) and other tax matters;
  • Other financial matters, such as SOX 404 set up, budgeting, etc.

Position

Great career growth opportunity for a strong reporting director/VP of Finance to broaden his/her skillset to become a CFO. As a treasury company, the whole company will have very minute headcount. Nevertheless, the role is demanding from an executive skill set and learning perspective. Need a VP level financial leader with strong technical accounting background, who can coordinate and resolve cross-functional matters. Ideally, if the candidate is a strong communicator, board member (ex-Baidu CFO) is willing to train candidate to do IR and fundraising.

  • 10-15 years of experience. Must have strong US GAAP and US-listed reporting experience, preferably served as a reporting director for a listed company or a previous senior manager of a Big 4 or other reputable accounting firm;
  • Strong proficiency in US GAAP; familiarity with software revenue recognition, accounting for warrants and CBs, and crypto accounting (a plus);
  • Oversee tax filing, manage CPA to perform simple TP, federal and state taxes;
  • A plus if candidate has treasury and/or capital market transaction support role; familiarity with FPI Cayman issues;
  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight; must be able to manage projects cross-functionally, strong execution, strategic (task prioritization, solution oriented and risk-based), commercially astute, and able to think like an executive;
  • Strong communicator, particularly with non-accounting background employees;
  • Fluent written and spoken English, ability to speak in Mandarin Chinese; and
  • Ideally located in New York City (office in Midtown) or remotely in the Bay Area; may consider if Hong Kong (office in Central) or other regions close by.
