Job Description

Position: This position is not in a facility. This is an in home position caring for one patient. Part-time position available for a Reliable, Drug Free, Honest, Organized, Self Starter. Must not have a criminal record. This is not for a sitter. This is an active position. You must interact with the the patient as a companion. Reliability is very important.


Schedule:

The job opening is for 8am-4pm, 1-2 week days, and every other Saturday & Sunday. Day shift total hours are 16 hours per week. We also have a part time evening opening, 1-2 week days, and every other Saturday & Sunday. Evening shift total hours are 12 hours per week. We could combine the two shifts for one person if needed. For both shifts it would be approximately 28 hours per week.


Skills: Patient Care, Medication, Communication, Charting, Clean Patient Environment, Patient Laundry, Computer skills and willingness to learn.


Patient: Happy and smart 39 year old male quadriplegic with reduced speech. He has Cerebral Palsy, Seizures, and a G-Tube. This is an in-home CNA position, not a babysitter job. Rick Care is a company named for (our son) Rick's Care.


Environment: Clean and safe home. In a good neighborhood.

Requirements:

• Must have a CNA certificate.
• Must have a current CPR certification.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check.
• Must not have a criminal record.
• Must be substance free.
• Must be active as a companion.
