Job Description


Dispatcher under general supervision will answer 9-1-1 and other emergency telephone systems, and perform radio dispatch of operations and emergency police, fire, and medical calls for assistance; performer a wide variety of computer transactions and records functions related to dispatching fire, medical and law enforcement activities.

Required Qualifications


Must be a graduate from a standard four-year high school or equivalent (GED) Essential; 18 years of age at time of application; no prior criminal history or drug usage; the ability to multi-task and process information quickly; also the ability to make appropriate decisions under stressful condition; have good oral and written communication skills; have the ability to speak English clearly and distinctly at all times; ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays; and the ability to work more than 40 hours in the workweek as required.
