Echocardiograph Technologist at Providence Health and Services summary:

The Echocardiograph Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging of the heart for patients of all ages at St Joseph Hospital Eureka. This role involves clinical care, quality control, and providing technical support to less experienced staff. Candidates must hold certifications in cardiac sonography and basic life support, working primarily day shifts on a per diem basis.

Echocardiograph Technologist in Echo Unit at St Joseph Hospital Eureka. This position is Per Diem and will work 8-hour Day Shifts.

Under the direction of the Department Director, supervision of the Cardiac Cath Lab Manager, the Echo Tech performs clinical diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures and related activities according to department standards for all patients served: infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Serves as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff. Participates in quality control and organizational improvement activities. Serves as a clinical/technical resource for less experienced sonographers.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of a program in cardiac echocardiography approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association or completed equivalent training through self-study, on-the-job training, etc.
• National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire or,
• National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Successful completion of national certification examinations in cardiac echocardiography, color doppler and stress testing conducted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers upon hire.
• Experience as a hospital-based Sonographer.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
