Job Description

Our client in Farwell MI, is seeking an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join their team. As an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator, you will be part of the sewing department supporting the production of custom set-ups and orders. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

Location: Farwell, MI

Pay Range: $15.50 per hour

Shift: 
1st - 8 am to 4 pm - overtime scheduled prior to shift start time - overtime can be heavy including Saturdays

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in machine sewing REQUIRED
• Industrial sewing a plus

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate various sewing machines and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  
  What's the Job?

  • Lead and produce custom set-ups and orders in the sewing department utilizing various equipment.
  • Operate Gerber cutter to complete work orders efficiently, ensuring a quality finished product.
  • Layout and set-up patterns for athletics and staging cut-outs with minimal waste.
  • Operate silk screening to produce top-quality parts by selecting the best screen process and style.
  • Utilize sewing machines to join or reinforce materials effectively.
