Loan Officer| Location: 11149 Research Blvd, Austin, Tx 78759|Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am-4:00pm| Employment Type: Full-Time

Austin Telco Federal Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented and member-focused Loan Officer to evaluate and process consumer loan applications, including credit cards, personal loans, and vehicle loans. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to providing exceptional member service.

• Interview applicants and collect required loan documentation.
• Analyze financial status, credit history, and collateral to assess loan eligibility.
• Approve loans within authority limits or escalate to loan committee.
• Ensure loan agreements are complete, accurate, and compliant with policy.
• Counsel members on financial planning and credit union products.
• Assist with fund distribution, direct deposit setup, and loan documentation.
• Submit lien registration forms and enter loan data into internal systems.
• Provide vehicle values and drafting instructions to dealers.
• Support members with problem accounts and perform collection activities.
• Maintain communication with internal departments and perform clerical duties.
• Promote credit union services through cross-selling.
• Attend required training sessions and stay current on lending policies.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in consumer lending or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of loan policies, title laws, and required documentation.
• Proficient in interviewing techniques and financial counseling.
• Familiarity with loan processing systems and general computer applications.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
