The Neurodiagnostic Technologist performs EEG and other neurodiagnostic studies under neurologist direction while adhering to professional standards. This role also leads training and education for EEG students within the Providence Health & Services system. EEG Technician - AK PMG Peds Subspecialty

The Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist will perform neurodiagnostic studies under the direction of a neurologist, in accordance with the guidelines of the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET). This position also plays a lead role in training and educating current and/or incoming EEG students affiliated with Providence Health & Services Alaska, while working collaboratively with the program’s manager and medical director.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Neurodiagnostic Program.
  • National Certification from American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 3 years - In the performance of procedures in a patient care environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree - From an accredited college or university.
