Job Summary and Qualifications

A Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) ensures the safety and well-being of high-risk patients by providing continuous observation and monitoring. PSAs collaborate with the care team, maintain a safe environment, and assist with basic patient care tasks.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong observation and communication skills

• Knowledge of fall prevention and infection control protocols

• Ability to maintain a safe and clean environment

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is often required

• Prior experience in healthcare is preferred

• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is a 204-bed facility in Palm Beach County. We offer preventative and elective programs and surgeries. We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center and a Level II NICU. We have a full-service Childrens Hospital. Services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is located on a 94-acre campus in Palm Beach County. The surrounding areas include Wellington, Royal Palm Beach and Loxahatchee.
