Patient Transporter

Could you be our next Patient Transporter in Main Line Health's Hospitals?

Available Shifts: First and second shifts. Every other weekend and rotating holidays are required for all positions. Full time and part time opportunities available. Benefits available to all positions, working 20hrs a week or more.

Make an Impact! Provide safe, prompt transport of patients throughout the Hospital Facility through use of Inter Serve System. Display a polite, spirit-of-service attitude toward patients and co-workers. Maintain friendly, efficient and responsive attitude toward patients while performing job duties.

• Provide transportation and assistance during disaster situations.
• Display a polite, spirit-of-service attitude toward patients and co-workers. Maintain friendly, efficient and responsive attitude toward patients while performing job duties.
• Transport Inpatients and Same Day Surgery patients to and from any area in the hospital, through use of Inter Serve System, and meeting the goals set by the department.
• Provide transportation and assistance during disaster situations.
• Assist nursing staff with transferring patients, stretchers, wheelchairs, etc.
• Maintain O tanks for transportation. Remove and re-apply regulators to O2 transport tanks.
• Redistribute wheelchairs, stretchers, etc. to appropriate units on an average of 4 times for each 8 hour shift.
• Maintains confidentiality of records and other information, performing all tasks and communications in a confidential and respectful manner.
• Follows established department guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing of patient transport equipment.
• Ensures special care is taken when transporting patients with: drainages, IV's, & oxygen.

Experience: Proven experience within customer service

Education: Minimum of a High School/GED is preferred. Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
