PMRC Forestry Technician II Position Summary: Assist Plantation Management Research Cooperative (PMRC) field crew with a variety of field work and data collection. This will entail measuring characteristics of pine and hardwood trees in the field, fertilization, and installation of research plots. Extensive travel is required to visit research installations. (70% of time) Apply fertilizer to pine research studies across the 10 state southern region. (20% of time) Maintain forestry equipment and vehicles. (10% of time) Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification: High school diploma; experience in forest measurements preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Understanding of forestry measurements and tools. Physical Demands: Willingness to work in extreme temperatures and lift fifty‑pound bags of fertilizer repeatedly.
