Temporary Receptionist (1-Day Contract) Location: Columbia, MD Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Role Summary

We are looking for a polished, punctual, and friendly professional to provide front-desk coverage for a one-day assignment. As the first point of contact for our office, you will play a key role in maintaining a professional atmosphere and ensuring daily operations run smoothly during business hours. This is the perfect opportunity for a freelancer or a professional looking to pick up extra hours in a stable office environment.

salary: $17 - $20 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Greeting Guests: Warmly welcome clients, visitors, and vendors upon arrival and direct them to the appropriate meeting rooms or personnel.
• Call Management: Answer incoming calls on a multi-line system, screening and transferring them efficiently, or taking clear, detailed messages.
• Mail & Deliveries: Accept and sign for packages (FedEx/UPS) and sort incoming mail.
• Lobby Maintenance: Ensure the reception area and conference rooms remain tidy and presentable throughout the day.
• General Support: Assist with light administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, or data entry if needed.
