Seasonal Tax Preparer

Our team is seeking talented Seasonal Tax Preparers to support our clients during the busy tax season. This contract role is ideal for professionals with experience in individual and/or business tax return preparation. As a Seasonal Tax Preparer, you will work closely with clients, ensure compliance with current tax regulations, and deliver efficient, accurate filing services.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and/or small businesses during the tax season.
• Review financial records, statements, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy of tax filings.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and advise clients on relevant credits and deductions.
• Communicate effectively with clients to address documentation needs, answer tax-related questions, and resolve discrepancies.
• Meet all deadlines and maintain thorough records to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Monitor updates in tax law and apply changes while preparing returns.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle client data with care.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in tax preparation or related accounting role.
• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProSeries, Drake, TurboTax, or similar).
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
