Alerion Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care (LTC) Long Term Care for a travel nursing job in Penn Yan, New York.

  • Part-time day/night position with flexible 2x8 one week/3x8 next week rotation schedule\n\t
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage required\n\t
  • Candidates must stay through holiday season\n\t
  • Must be able to begin on a Tuesday/Thursday for full shift orientation\n
\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n
    \n\t
  • Current New York State RN license\n\t
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association\n\t
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse\n\t
  • Must have Long Term Care (LTC) experience\n
\n\nPosition Summary\n\n
    \n\t
  • The RN must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned unit\n\t
  • Individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status\n\t
  • Must interpret appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs\n\t
  • Provides care needed by adult and geriatric patient groups\n\t
  • Provides direct and indirect skilled nursing care for assigned residents\n\t
  • Follows defined policies and procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse\n\t
  • Maintains collaborative relationship with other nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary staff\n\t
  • Maintains appropriate level of knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education and in-service programs\n\t
  • Must have ability to provide care to geriatric residents\n
\n\nJob Duties\n\n
    \n\t
  • Collects data relevant to resident's physical and psychosocial condition on ongoing basis and communicates findings to Supervisor and other members of the Interdisciplinary Team\n\t
  • Contributes to the creation of developmentally age appropriate and culturally relevant plan of resident care reflecting nursing diagnosis and interventions to achieve desired resident outcomes involving the resident/family and healthcare team in this process while promoting healthy, safe environment\n\t
  • Recommends revisions to the plan of care, after evaluation of resident outcomes and indicates the need for referrals to ensure all aspects of the resident's care have been addressed\n\t
  • Collaborates with the resident/family and members of the Interdisciplinary Team within the scope of nursing practice assuring customer satisfaction\n\t
  • Maintains current knowledge and competency in Nursing Practice\n\t
  • Participates in the mentoring/orientation of staff\n\t
  • Considers factors related to safety, cost, and impact in planning in delivery of care\n\t
  • Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, provides leadership in the professional practice setting\n\t
  • Demonstrates knowledge and competency\n
\n\nOccupational Exposure\n\n
    \n\t
  • Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated\n\t
  • Required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues\n
