ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska.
Job Description & RequirementsOpportunity:
\nRegistered Nurse - PCU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Alternating day and night shifts with block scheduling
\n• Patient ratios of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
\n• Every other weekend coverage required
\n• May float to take PCU assignments in the ICU as needed
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
\n• Work with patient diagnoses including CKD, ESRD, DMII, CHF, COPD, GIB, and post-operative patients
\n• Manage long-term ventilators and tracheostomies
\n• Use Pyxis medication system and Cerner documentation system
\n• 24-hour orientation period provided
\n• Navy blue scrubs required
\n• 2 years of experience required (may consider less based on experience)
\n• Trauma Level II experience required
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI
\n• Skills include blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, telemetry monitoring, and wound care
\n• Must maintain Alaska nursing license prior to starting
\n• First-time travelers accepted
\n• Unit has 8 beds with daily census of 8 patients
\n• Access to interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
