Overview Channel Business Development – AMD focus role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). This role is remote/teleworker, primarily work from home. Open to remote work if the ideal candidate is in the US. Job Description The candidate will be responsible for working with HPE’s channel partner ecosystem to develop and mature new business around HPE’s AMD server product line. Work closely with AMD to build unique business propositions, campaigns, and activities to engage and generate demand for AMD products with select channel partners. In conjunction with the Compute NA RBU and NA Channel team, this role will lead efforts to grow AMD’s business through the channel by 30-50% year over year through net new logo and new market growth areas. The candidate will establish measurements and review milestones to gauge programmatic success. Candidates should have strong knowledge of the IT data center infrastructure sales cycle through a two-tiered channel system and experience with state/local government, SMB, and/or mid-market commercial sales. Previous sales or project delivery experience in these markets and some technical understanding of the IT infrastructure ecosystem are preferred. For this role, remote work may be open if the ideal candidate is in the US. Key Responsibilities Analyze current market trends, competitive positioning, market use cases, and other data to generate pipeline through the channel for HPE’s AMD server lines. Manage co-selling activities with AMD and selected partners. Coordinate with HPE Channel and Digital sellers to generate demand for HPE’s AMD product lines. Co-create the key performance indicators and measurements of success with AMD. Develop channel-specific sales campaigns, especially in the State/Local, SMB-MM space to generate demand. Requirements At least 3 years of sales, pre-sales, business development, or project delivery experience of IT infrastructure deployments. Proven ability to generate pipeline and create demand through the channel, especially in state/local, SMB, and/or mid-market commercial IT data center space. Ability to have a technical “first conversation” with customers/partners about HPE’s server portfolio. Ability to create, manage, and coordinate sales campaigns. Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field. Experience with sell-through business, especially with partners/distributors focused on SMB/MM commercial and/or state/local government sectors. Previous experience selling or deploying AMD-based servers is highly desired. Knowledge And Skills Experience with IT data center compute hardware, software, services. Understanding of the IT data center market buying cycles and players in North America (on-prem, hybrid, cloud). Understanding of x86 CPU technologies. Knowledge of state/local government, SMB/MM commercial transactional sales cycles. Ability to drive results without supervisory oversight.
