Job Description

Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a growing development company who is seeking a Controller with high-level financial acumen and banking relationships  to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The Controller will oversee the analysis and financial performance, including budget forecasting, managing financial reporting, conducting audits and assessments, compliance with industry regulations.

Title: Controller
Location: On-Site – Louisville, KY
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Key Duties and Responsibilities.
• Ensures accurate and timely month-end and year-end accounting close processes, manages allocation methodologies and general accounting activities.
• Prepares monthly financial reports, including analyzing budget vs. actual results and reviewing them with area and senior management.
• Supports the creation and presentation of quarterly budget spreadsheets, annual phased budget forecasts, and reports analyzing budget variances.
• Assists the Corporate team in addressing both internal and external financial audit requests.
• Maintains integrity and confidentiality of all sensitive data to uphold trust and compliance.
• Fosters teamwork and strong communication both within the division and across all company departments to ensure alignment and productivity.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes.
• YARDI knowledge preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, with strong Excel background
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

Education and Experience. 
• Proven experience in management roles.
• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance is preferred
• More than five years of progressive experience overseeing accounting and financial operations.
