Title: Crisis Program Director FLSA Status: Full-time, exempt Pay Range: $95,000 - $115,000 Reports to: Chief Clinical Officer Location: Basalt, Colorado Job Summary: The mobile crisis response team provides a 24‑hour service, covering Aspen to Parachute, Colorado. The crisis program director is responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the crisis team, as well as assisting the chief clinical officer with program management, administrative duties and maintenance of community partnerships. Essential Job Functions: Leads by example with professionalism, integrity, ethical behavior, discernment and candor Understands and can expertly perform crisis clinician roles Works with Chief Clinical Officer to oversee the interview and hiring process of new crisis staff Oversees onboarding and training of all new crisis staff employees Design and implement biannual self‑assessment evaluations for crisis team Design ongoing training requirements for crisis staff Provides guidance, supervision and instruction to all crisis staff Staffs cases with crisis clinicians as needed Provides supervision and mentorship for crisis supervisors Builds, fosters and maintains relationships with community partners who directly work with the Crisis Team such as hospitals, first responders, schools, public health, department of human services, and other community mental health/service agencies. Creates the monthly crisis team schedule with the aid of supervisors finding day‑of shift coverage Facilitates monthly crisis team staff meetings Facilitates quarterly crisis workshops Co‑chairs at minimum one Aspen Hope Center internal committee Collaborates with System Administrator and Quality Assurance Manager to deliver data on a monthly basis to Aspen Hope Center’s executive team and partner agencies Develops and makes available any resources for staff that will improve their skill set Maintains an in‑depth knowledge of all contracts and ensures daily operations and program employees operate with compliance Represents Aspen Hope Center at community partner meetings Attends PACT and Co‑Response coordination meetings Attends all necessary BHA meetings and trainings Collaborates with co‑response and mobile crisis leadership across the state Attends monthly meetings with Rocky Mountain Health Plans and Solari Attends monthly Suicide Prevention Coalition of Garfield County meeting Implements policies, procedures and operations that reflect best practices and comply with state and federal regulations Evaluates staff performance, creates performance improvement plans and will be a part of disciplinary action when necessary Acts as Licensed Clinician On Call (LCOC) when needed Serves as a point of contact for local first responder agencies, fosters those relationships and assists with their training and education Informs staff of continuing education opportunities Collaborates with the Human Resources Manager to ensure staff licensure is up‑to‑date and in good standing Ensures all training resources are up‑to‑date Collaborates with the System Administrator and Chief Clinical Officer to optimize performance and capabilities of electronic health records (EHR) platform to best meet documentation needs Represents Aspen Hope Center at a minimum of two internal and/or external events during the year, determined in collaboration with their direct supervisor Acknowledges and adheres to all policies and procedures of Aspen Hope Center Completes additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Clinical Officer Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge, education, training, skills, and experience in a multi‑disciplinary approach to physical and mental health Excellent public speaking skills Excellent communication skills including diplomacy, tact, and effective bedside manner with clients Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to display non‑judgmental attitude Ability to remain solution‑focused and respectful in all interactions with staff, co‑workers, vendors, and clients Knowledge of DSM 5 diagnoses and symptoms Excellent problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills Knowledge of local and agency resources for referrals Skilled at assessing level of suicidality in individuals who present for help Skilled at working with various types of individuals, knowing how to approach each one Skilled in basic computer operations – Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Internet and data management Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision Ability to maintain boundaries with clients, practitioners, agencies and community members Ability to uphold confidentiality and discretion at all times, and adhere to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; minimum necessary rule when disclosing and requesting public health information Ability to maintain composure, professionalism, and structure in any given situation Ability to maintain communication with clinical team on a daily basis Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems English/Spanish bilingual abilities are a plus Credentials and Experience: Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field required Colorado state license required Completion of Colorado’s Crisis Professional Curriculum within 90 days of hire Three years supervisory or management experience minimum, required. Two to three years of experience with budgeting and operations preferred. Five years experience in crisis assessment related role, counseling experience or trauma assessment experience preferred.
