Position Summary:
Would you like to work for a locally owned bank that supports the community you live in? We are hiring for a full-time Universal Loan Officer for the Baldwin, Clear Lake and Amery office locations. As a full-time Universal Loan Officer you will be responsible for identifying needs and providing assistance to current and prospective Bank customers for the purpose of recommending and selling Pillar Bank products and services and advising customers of lending and banking service options available. Also responsible for analyzing risk, approving and disbursing primarily consumer and residential real estate loans to customers in accordance with established Bank policies.
Essential Duties May Include:
- Responsible for loan/line growth, primarily consumer and residential real estate loans, through client portfolio and other proactive measures to grow market share, as well as retain / grow existing portfolio. Follow up on leads generated through all sources;
- Prospect new relationships through proactive calling efforts, while retaining and deepening existing relationships. Promote the Bank’s loan products and programs internally and in the community through regular contact with real estate relators, builders, attorneys and other centers of influence;
- Develop banking relationships by reviewing and analyzing financial data to determine the merits of specific loan/line requests and recommend structure;
- Conduct regulatory compliant loan pre-qualification interview for primarily consumer and residential real estate products. Provide financial advice and counsel to clients and prospective clients regarding trends and conditions of the business environment and general banking trends though bank approved sources;
- Participates in local organizations, clubs etc. to promote the Bank and to support the community;
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations and laws including but not limited to, The Bank Secrecy Act. Understands compliance issues and attends training as it relates to the position.
Requirements:Knowledge, Skills, Experience Needed: To be successful in this position you will have experience in real estate and consumer loan portfolio management preferred. Thorough understanding of risks (market, rate, leverage, etc.) as it applies to the consumer and residential real estate lending/borrowing process. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated ability to provide the highest quality of customer service in an efficient, professional, and accurate manner consistent with Pillar Bank’s values and standards.
Required :
- Require Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Finance or Economics or related discipline or equivalent related experience;
- Prefer at least three (3) years of previous banking experience;
- Education and/or experience in real estate loan area preferred.
